Assessment of Loss and Damage in Lakes Baringo & Bogoria

Ministry of Environment, Climate Change and Forestry has completed a comprehensive assessment of the loss and damage associated with rising water levels in Lakes Baringo and Bogoria. The assessment provides critical evidence on the impacts of changing lake levels on communities, livelihoods, infrastructure, ecosystems and local economic activities in Baringo County. The findings will help inform targeted interventions, strengthen climate adaptation and resilience measures, support affected communities, and guide planning and decision-making as Kenya continues to address the growing impacts of climate change.
